Natural Soaps

Our "100% Natural Soap" is made through a "cold-process" during which all natural components are blended and saponified resulting in unique handcrafted soap that retains its natural cleansing and skin-nourishing properties.

Each soap recipe is handmade in small batches and cured between 3 to 6 weeks, Ph-tested for mildness and finally shower-tested by our family.

By making our own soap we have complete control over the ingredients we use – our handmade natural soaps are made from:

  • Saponiffied cold pressed Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, etc.

  • Colored with 100% natural ingredients such as cocoa powder, orange oil, flower petals, ground oats, natural honey, etc.

  • Fragranced only with 100% pure essential oils, such as orange, lemon, lavender, pink grapefruit, lime, and others.

  • Most of our exfoliants are organically grown in our own garden!

Our 100% natural soaps are made from:

  • (Sweet) Almond Oil  - This nutrient-rich oil is suitable for all skin types.  It is excellent for use in healing and moisturizing dry and chapped skin. We use it in our soaps as it is a great moisturizer, makes a stable lather and helps condition the skin.

  • Aloe Vera is a well known healing and soothing agent for damaged, dry skin. It is soothing and healing for burns, skin irritations, and raw open wounds.

  • Avocado Oil is a rich, luxurious and nourishing oil that is moisturizing and conditioning with excellent penetrating qualities and good spreadability on the skin. It contains vitamins A, D, and E, which makes it healing and excellent for dry and damaged skin and is known to help with Eczema and Psoriasis. Perfect for use in gentle baby soaps.

  • Beeswax has the sweet smell of honey and is used to make soaps harder.

  • Canola Oil is used in soaps to increase the moisturizing properties of soap.

  • Castor Oil produces a nice soap with wonderful long lasting lather attracts and holds moisture in the skin, helps dry and aging skin because of its humectant properties. Good for all skin types.

  • Cocoa Butter is an excellent skin softener. It has a natural chocolate scent and is also used to make soap bars harder.

  • Coconut Oil makes soaps lather beautifully. It even lathers in very hard water or even sea water).

  • Grapeseed Oil is a lightweight oil that absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving a heavy greasy feeling.

  • Honey - not an oil but can be used as an additive, as it helps retain moisture on the skin in much the same way as glycerin dose.

  • Olive Oil prevents the loss of your skin's natural moisture, softens skin and attracts external moisture to your skin. It helps keep your skin soft, supple and younger looking. Higher content of olive oil makes the soap milder.

  • Palm Oil makes a hard bar that cleans well and is also mild. Palm oil is used in many expensive luxury soaps for the quality of Palm oil is far superior to other vegetable oils.

  • Shea Butter is a wonderful superfatting agent used in soap to nourish your skin.

  • Soybean Oil produces a mild, stable lather and makes a wonderful hard bar of soap.

Essential Oils

  • Cinnamon Essential Oil has a warm, highly aromatic, spicy fragrance used in soaps not only for fragrance but for it's anti bacterial properties.

  • Eucalyptus Essential Oil has antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant properties.

  • Ginger Essential Oil is a brilliantly warming oil, penetrating and strongly aromatic.

  • Grapefruit Essential Oil - Light and Citrusy, reminiscent of the aroma of the grapefruit rind, astringent for balancing oily skin and hair, and is useful in facial toners.

  • French Lavender Essential Oil - Lavender is a fragrance with long historical use in perfumes and Aromatherapy. Lavender is renowned for its calming and balancing effects on the mind and body. Actions: Anti bacterial, analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, deodorizing.

  • Lemon Essential Oil with a rich, fresh lemon rind scent is great for scrubs and shampoos. Uplifting and invigorating.

  • Lime Essential Oil - Refreshing and Uplifting useful for perking you up as it gives an energy burst when its needed.

  • Orange Essential Oil is useful for congested complexion, colds, detox blends, nervous tension. Uplifting and invigorating.

  • Peppermint - is a very strong, robust aggressive oil useful for headaches, travel sickness and nausea. A mental stimulant. Refreshing and cooling to the body.

  • Rose - Its scent is deep, richly sweet and euphoric and encourages feelings of contentment and happiness.
    Actions: Soothing, relaxing, and balancing.
    May be useful for: Mature skin, helps to smooth wrinkles, menopause, stress and tension, helps to lift the spirits and particularly good for females

  • Rosemary - Strengthens the mind and memory - used by students in Ancient Greece. Rosemary is herbaceous, sweet, and slightly camphorous in its aroma. Useful for treating sore muscles, after sport (with lemongrass) room deodorizer, scalp disorders.

  • Vanilla - The smell of Vanilla can ease stress and bring on a feeling of comfort.

Exfoliants

These products remove dead cells and encourage skin rejuvenation. Soaps containing exfoliants feel stimulating and invigorating. We use only natural exfoliants most of which are grown organically in our own garden, such as calendula petals, rose buds, rosemary leaves, lavender flowers, peppermint, rosehips, and even loofah.  We also use organic oats, cornmeal, poppy seeds, coffee grinds and other natural ingredients as exfoliants in our natural soaps.

Colouring of our Natural Soaps

To be able to call our natural soaps "100% Natural" we never use any soap dies or even food colouring. Instead we use natural ingredients, such as rind and oils of the fruits, dried flower petals, paprika, turmeric, cocoa powder, coffee, etc.
